How I Feel When My Art Sells

It's Great. It's Difficult. It's Complicated.

Whoever said that artists pour their soul into their work really knew what they were talking about.

Each piece of art I create is ALWAYS personal. It

• tells a story (even if that's just to me, the maker),

• often portrays a journey

  • from nothing to something,

  • from 'what am I doing?' to 'this looks good',

  • from joy to despair (and back again, hopefully!)

  • from uncertainty to confidence

• serves as a tangible representation of ME.

There's a lot happening behind the scenes, making it impossible to fully understand what each creation entails, and even publicly displaying certain pieces can be challenging due to their significance.

Sharing your art with the world exposes you to a high level of vulnerability, but it can also feel very rewarding.

When I sell my art, I feel very happy, it's always a privilege to have someone love your work, but I do miss every piece that goes to a new home.
